Well, let's just say you have a better chance of catching a toddler, dog, kayaker, swimmer, bikini, or a freshly rolled fattie than you have at catching a grayling this time of year :)

If you are still keen to try Quarry, then I'd say a very early am or dusk session and matching the hatch (BWOs, PMDs) would be your best bet...

Thanks - that's what I thought after a very unsuccessful evening session - although I did see the fish jumping

September can be good but I find shortly after ice off in spring during some early hatches to be the most productive.
