Hey guys I am going to hike into Owl Lake Aug 18-20 with a fellow AOF member. It is the longest back country hike in distance and lenght of stay for me, should be a great time. A few 5lb brooks will not hurt either. So I have 2 questions for you all.

1) any info on Owl lake and area.

2) as I only have the pontoon I would like to see if anyone has a belly boat they can lend me to lug in for the trip as well.

Thanks in advance..

go to ( www.myflyshop.com/MYflystore.html ) they have float tubes on there. I just bought the bucks bag hi and dry. Its a great tube, the best one that I have owned. Doesnt loose any air, unlike most other bags.

If I need to I will buy one. But would rather not as I will only use it once. Wife says I got enough "crap" for fishing.

Wife says I got enough "crap" for fishing.

Have her write that down. Next time she tries to give you crap for going fishing, flash that little gem back at her. "Can't give me crap....I have enough already. You said so yourself."

I have one you can use but I won't be in Calgary until the 17th for a surgeons appt. If this works for you I can bring it along. I don't have a pump for it anymore but I do have 2 sets of fins if needed. Fire me a PM if you are interested.

I have one in my garage that I have not filled up with air for several years now. I will give it a pump up tonight and see if its still as new as it was the last time it was used. Your welcome to burrow it whenever you want, just let me know when you can swing by to grab it.

JEFF:

I have one you can borrow. I will bring it to you with the fish bonker Ken made for you later this month when we go camping. Please bring my big tent so we can arrange the exchange!

Dave Jensen (he's a guide, and overall nice guy) has a heck of deal on another forum.

Here is the ad copied:

"Have 4 of them in a bag that haven't been used in a while, all hold air. These are all the donut style. If you simply want to hike to an alpine lake or get a family into fly fishing a lake to try it out, this might be worth your while. I think these are what I have here:
1 x Trout Traps Cricket
2 x Browning Classic
1 x Caddis Navigator
Gee, I'll even toss in 1/2 dozen tie down straps, a pr of vests (one is even new), and a loose pack to carry the 2 browning tubes.
$150 takes the lot.
