Spend this past week in K Country and along the forestry trunk. Had incredible weather the entire time. Hiked into some gorgeous areas we've never been into, and caught some beautiful fish. Had a too close encounter with mama grizz and her cub, but thankfully she carried on and ignored us trespassing in her back yard.

Couldn't fish this weekend, but this picture thread certainly made up for it. Great post DM! Looks like it was a blast.
Can't wait for my junior to grow up a bit so we can do something similar.

8.4 kms?!?! Wow, I thought it was only a few km. Could you imagine if you broke a toe or something and had to walk that far? :sHa_sarcasticlol:

Awesome pics as always.

As fate would have it, it was ironic running into you as you were heading out on one of your excursions. I had about a 5 second window or I would have missed you.

Thanks for hosting the one night. Thanks to the girls for dog sitting. Thanks to Jr for showing be how to catch brookies. Thanks for cleaning me out of all of the hot flies. And thanks for letting me eat your dust. You I'm not so sure about but you sure have a great family. ;)

my wife is tougher than i'll ever be. she wasn't done with that hike, rested the toe one day and headed up into an alpine lake the next. she was rewarded with her first, second, and well she fly fishes now too. an excuse to acquire some more gear i'm thinking. you lived up to your handle by bringing out some much need "midweek" fill in flys. hot ones, even if you have a half dozen of each get beat up fast when the fish are hungry. have my others landed sir tacklerunner?
