We flew out of Missinipe on a Twin Otter NW 60 km to Alpineguy's cabin. Wow, what a ride on the float plane! There is no feeling like it having the whole lake to yourself and being totally isolated. This has to be the most relaxing holiday ever, and we even did a little fishing. Thanks Alpineguy for sharing your piece of paradise!

great pics. looks like a great time

on that last pic, where did you get the rod holder that fit into the oar bracket? I have been looking for a couple of these!

The rod holder adapter is homemede.

Since this lake is part of the Churchill drainage, are there crayfish in this lake?

The rod holder would be easy to make, just a long carriage bolt welded on to the holder, and bolt on to the oar lock.
We never saw a crayfish up there - just funny fishing hats.

thanks for the info. I figured it was homemade but was just checking...guess I'll have to rig one up it looks dandy!

nothing like fishing a lake all on your own. did that earlier this summer and it was a blast. tight lines

Scotty makes a rod holder bracket of this type. I just found a couple in a second hand store, still in the original packaging, that fit my newer Scotty rod holders that fit my Lund gun'l rail brackets.
