How is that spot. Anybody catching anything there?
I was near by and stopped there one day but nobody around and it was a super windy nasty day and water was high so couldnt really get a feel for the place.

If you mean the spot past redwater I was out there on the long weekend...water was running really fast and I didn't even have a bite in about an hour plus of fishing. Saw a beaver and an eagle though....

Its west off highway 21 on the way to the Fort. Past the golf course and the water treatment plant on a dead end road. You run right into the river if you dont stop.

Oh ok, I have been there before too. The river level is down now a couple feet and the bugs were horrible out there. I actually stopped there tonight as my Wife rides at a stables near the Fort, few people fishing but they all said it was really slow lately.....the spot I was talking about is an old ferry crossing out North and east of the town of Redwater.

Google map it....find where the road is close to the river.....ask permission to access the river from the landowner as there is lots of private property there and people will charge you with tresspassing if you walk across their land for river access......once you get permission.....walk down and have at it!

Thats a damn good spot , Fish there quite often I agree that other spot listed very very slow and very over crowded , Also Dawson Bridge in Edmonton is a real hot spot for sturgeon .

Anyone know how to get to that spot on the nsr that is south of spruce grove?

By boat

Anyone fish near the Vinca Bridge. The Redwater River dumps into the NSR just east of there.

Not too much pressure.

The spot south of spruce grove has agate on the access road halfway down! so you have to walk a bit! It's easy to get to go south of spruce grove on golden spike past 627 till you come to a T about 12 miles take aright about a mile take aleft and go straight into a subdivision look for the tower south! The access road goes down!

The "keyhole", I went there last week. If you go to the right and walk down a few minutes there are some good spots. I saw a lot of fish jumping but didn't have any luck. My friend hooked a clam, that was a bit weird. I recommend bug spray, though!
