i know how a lot of people say its not worth sinking a line but it is, ghost river to the north holds rainbows(good size) that will take bait on a pic rig, spinners and flys. every time i go up that was i see two guys fly fishing having luck. the other time you can catch fish(only mt. white fish) is in the late September and early October when schools can reach over 1000 in clear water. The best way to fish them is with maggots or flys in 6-10 feet of clear water. DONT cast right into the school but where you think the school will go. IIs great site fishing.

Remember if you want action in that hole go upstream and walk back and forth in the rocky riffles !!!
What are you doing if you do that you ask!!
You are chumming the hole you are about to fish!!
All the stuff you disturbed will now be feed on by the dormant fish in that hole
Then go back to hole and enjoy!!!
SSSSSHHHHHH dont tell everyone:sHa_shakeshout:
Food for Thought

If your soo successful at ghost why dont you post some pictures of the fish you catch? No pictures No proof. From my experience ghost river is a poor fishery.

He's probably better off not posting pics hard to say what we'd see

yeah the fishing is usually pretty good with bait in a bait banned river , I still see minnow tubs along the bow . May be able to use maggots on the bow after the 15th in some areas but the Ghost river is bait free from what I've read

This is for Ghost Lake and it's good to find out where exactly the river ends and the lake begins.
Fishing with Bait Fish (dead) is NOT allowed in ES1 except at the
following waters:
Paine (Mami) Lake Lees Lake
Ghost Reservoir Pine Coulee Reservoir
Does the reservoir start at the southside of the bridge?

Gus according to regs.
All waters in the Ghost river wilderness area are closed
and from the GRWA there is a bait ban

I know, I know,, actually haven't walked up-up-up the Ghost River since I was a kid, heart stopping huge bear sighting.
I just think it's interesting on how we think we know but then after all these years thunk to ourselves, "Hold on??? is this the reservoir or is that considered river", because it sure would be crappy to get nailed for using baitfish in whats considered a river,,, I normally fish the western edge with royal coachmen or tear drop in hardwater season,, but once again am I on the Bow River or the Ghost Reservoir. I'm heading out that way tomorrow and will look for signage and such, and hopefully post a pic of a fish.
