For those who know the lake better than me. If a person is fishing off the weir near town on the river, is that close enough that the lake regulations are in effect (1 pickerel over 43cm) or is it still the river regs (3 over 50cm). I've also never fished it before so what would you suggest using? Rapalas, spoons?

 May 20 to Oct. 31 – Walleye limit 1 over 43 cm; Pike limit 3 over

Lake regs to the weir and river regs from the weir downstream. Use pickeral rigs with minnows. 1-2 oz weight depending on current

If you are fishing at the weir it is 3 over 50 if fishing in front of the weir eg boat launches and mouth of river it is 1 same as the lake.Caught a 10lb walleye at the weir last Sunday released it to fight another day.

grew up calling walleye, pickerel. i guess instead off calling it a pickerel rig they should call it a walleye rig.:sHa_shakeshout:
