Just wonderin if anyone has been fishin cvr lately. I'm headin out this sat to try for some pike and I heard there may be some algae bloomin out there. Just wonderin if this is true, and if it is makin the fishin tough.

Algae was definitely present today on the east side. With the wind from the west, it may have been better on that side but we didn't make it over there. However, the fish were still biting. We had over 3 dozen to the boat (between the two of us, not each!) with 7 or 8 small Pike and the rest Wallys. They wouldn't look at a crank today but the Lindy rig with a floater was working well with smelts and pearl TriggerX walleye grubs. Also caught several on a 4" white ripple shad rigged on an underspin. Good luck tomorrow (today).
