So, we set out on our adventure, to catch rainbows at Carson-Pegasus today. Never fished the lake before. It was fun, the fishing was really slow, but we ( and by that I mean my FIL and my wifey ) managed to catch 5 trout. I got shut out :mad0030: but it was still a really fun day.

Glad we went, would have been nice to catch more, but a pretty fun day. And the weather was AWESOME!! :)

good to see u caught a few i never made it out because my buddy never made over...Did u guys try any flies and what depth approx. where u fishing in?
Also how big of fish anything in that 18-20" area?

Nope, the one wifey is kissing was the biggest! Maybe 12 inches. We were only using spinners and nightcrawlers, fishing in about 20 - 30 feet. I don't know, we probably were doing everything wrong - we've never fished for trout before! :D

well trout are a tricky fish to caught but with so many being stocked guys say pretty easy to catch there....i hope i can make my way up there before fall.

I really like this lake. Really nice place although I have only shore fished it.

Question.....do you have to troll with spinners or do you have as much luck just staying in one spot using a hook and worms? Never been on the water, but my buddy has a boat that we could go out on.
