Very few Bulls above the falls. By few I mean none. They will be staging soon and moving up some of the smaller tribuatries. A good number move up Hidden Creek, however it closes early to accomodate this. Best to leave them alone once they are in the smaller tribs as they have work to do.

This is quite simply not true. The headwaters of many freestone creeks simply can't hold large fish. Often the only time you will see larger fish in high country headwaters is during bull spawning. In the case of the Oldman, the bulls can't get by the upper falls. There are tonnes of smaller cutthroats above the falls, but the size drops dramatically once you get up there. Some high country rivers do have the capacity to hold larger trout, but in the vast majority, size will decrease with elevation and grade.
