I don't know where they are at right now but a bit over a month ago I was slamming them in around 6-12 feet of water, always have every time I have gone out there.

always hammer them on the northwest side cruising in about 3-5 ft of water using small meps spinners. Has to be nice and calm so you can spot them and target them better when casting.

last weekend we caught a couple dozing in a few hours, but had to change up the colour of spinner after a couple of fish. Once we spotted them, we just work the spinner 10 to 15 feet in front of there position and watch them hit. some times we had two or three come in at once and folow the spinner.

good post! I have never caught a whitefish out of there, just tons of walleye. Thanks - I'll try some of these ideas.
