fishing near red deer

I'm new to the RD i was Just wondering what are some good spots to fish other than the river in town here. I'm willing to drive and the type of species doesnt matter to me since i c&r everything. I will be fishing from shore with a spinning rod so keep that in mind. If you don't want to post any spots here you can PM me any info is greatly appreciated thanks

you can head to glennifer lake and right beside it, dickson trout pond. nearby is also the red deer river.
