Fished 3 different lakes this week and had a good old time. We hit up Newell and managed a few pike through out the day including a beauty 18 pounder caught by Bearclaws other half. Then we hit badger for some more pike action and caught about 6 pike in 2 hours and then the action died, till dark when in picked up again and I managed to haul in a 15 pound northern. We also hit gull on the weekend and caught a couple of whites, a 13 pound pike and a ling.

It was a very good week of fishing as I managed to catch my new personal best pike of 26.2 pounds!!!! She was 45 inches long and 22 inches around. What a beautiful fish, hopefully she is a 30 next year when I catch her again:)

Nice!!!!!

That is a true hog Barbwire. Congrats!! It is hard to really tell from the pics that it is 26+ though she looks extremely fat. That final pick release into a 10 inch hole really shows the girth. Awesome job of the pics as well! Thanks for the great report.

Wow, what a hog!!! Good to see her going back and good to see how gentle it appears you are handling the fish. Very nice work.

That's a great pike. She may weigh 30lbs by this spring if she starts bulking up with eggs. Great to see her let go, she'll probably spawn 600 000-800 000 eggs this spring.

Thanks boys, I have had a extremely succesful pike season so far this year and just hope it continues...lol

Booyah, Yes I have the Frabill alarm on my tip-up and it is great. Used them for the first time on the weekend and wow!!! I thought they might scare fish in shallow water but it doesnt seem to bother them.
