I have netted some, and even raised some, but not caught any angling....they are small (5"-8" typically), and like most cats, bottom-feeders...so any meaty bait (I would look at earthworm pieces, etc) along the bottom is likely your best bet.

I've heard that they are mostly bottom feeders and rarely grow larger than 8inchs. I would imagine if you took a pickeral rig and put some SMALL snelled hooks (size 12-14) on it with pieces of worm or minnow you would have good chances.

I haven't fished for them in the Milk, but have caught hundreds of them in the Okanagan. Worms, minnows, or stink bait (doughball) on a snelled hook.

No need to use a small hook, they have a big mouth.

i was pretty much thinking the same for bait and such, i think im gunna have to try and catch some. I wish the were of some size though oh well.
