I am going to Nacmine this weekend to visit a buddy and I promised his 9 year old I would teach him to fish and I would like him to catch a fish or 2.

They live just 50 yards from the Red Deer river so we will start there.

We will be using bait and lures and I might break out the fly rod for some Goldeye.

Any suggestions would be appreciated to make little Adams weekend.

Thanks

Jim

I used to fish right at the railroad bridge, should be lots of goldeye around there and if you are using worms should get into all sorts of fish. . Good luck.

Use small mini rapalas, you will catch tons of goldeye. Also use super duper lures. Also use redish orange crankbaits for sauger, pike and walleye. Here is a picture of my friend (he lives on the river near Nacmine) with some fish he caught with the lures I told you.

Thanks for the replies guys...I am heading out in the morning and we will see how it goes.

Adam's dad has a smoker so I thought if I can get him to catch a few Goldeye his dad can smoke his first fish (he smokes roasts etc but has never smoke fish before).

Maybe I can create another fishing addict :bad_boys_20:
