Lesser Slave Lake

Two and a half days at Lesser Slave Lake produced relaxing fishing and challenging boating. Sunday was perfect weather and gave us a good feed of fish. Monday morning started out OK but the wind took us off the water at about 10:30 AM. We were able to get back on at about 6:30 PM and got a couple of hours of fishing in before sun started to set. Tuesday was cold and blustery but we got a couple of hours in at Canyon Creek before the wind blew us off again. We never did get back on the water. We tried the river and caught a few smaller Walleye but let them go. Next year we will try for an earlier time slot.

I had min-July booked this year but the fire and the floods cancelled that one out. I was lucky to get Norm's cabin at the end of August. We'll see what my son-in-law's work schedule looks like next summer and book accordingly. I agree with you on June. Great month for Walleye and even better for Pike.
