View Full Version : My biggest Walleye out of the nsr yet.

I was fishing on the NSR here in edmonton yesterday at 5:30am and on my second cast with a blue mepps syclops got this nice Walleye. We measured him and was just over 24 inches. http://ist1-2.filesor.com/pimpandhost.com/3/2/1/3/32132/B/t/o/c/Btoc/P9010872_m.jpg

Do you always fish really early in the am?

Thanks. Yea I usually end up heading out fishing for 4:30-5am

Nice fish,
I caught one a couple weeks ago on the Missouri River in Montana just before midnight and it weighed 9.2 lbs and was 28" long. I left him down there to get mounted. The fish really bit in the dark. I used a rattling Rapala.

The fish I'm holding in the first picture is the one I Caught with the mepps.

I was at goldbar today and caught a pike and a little sauger. here is the pike.

i have had awsome luck using worms this year on the NSR , cuaght a 9.5 pound walleye, at like 3am, by the battlefords, my best yet,
