There used to be fish in driedmeat. Haven't caught anything, seen any sign of fish, or heard of anyone catching anything since last summer. I think it winterkilled very bad. Coal's a good lake, but like LC said, choked with weeds now.

people complain about the weeds in coal
and they are right they are everywhere, its hard to even get the boat to the open water. but there is a huge plus. with the weeds.

pike like weeds, follow edges of the weeds and you will catch. the smaller pike stay in the weeds and the larger ones cruise just along the outside of them, so the weeds help seperate out the smaller fish. you can also find narrow 5 to 8 foot wide "pathways" thru the weeds and I am not talking about the south end of the lake, hit those hard with bait, they seem to group up in those, it might be because its like a long buffet for the larger fish to cruise thru.
