I spent a couple hours on saturday morning on an old familiar stretch of the Pembina. The water still holds lots of walleye. They ate everything I threw at them. No northerns, goldeye, or suckers caught. No problem. Good times and great to be back on some water that has always been good to me.

Great photo's Dace, looks like another spectacular day for you. I have yet to catch a Walleye in a river, looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for posting.

Is there a good spot on the pembina that someone could set a tent up for free right next to the river?

took my new gf son whos 12 to the provincial park and found where the lobstick runs into the pembina........ low and behold if his first fish ever caught wasnt a hog! 30.5" inches, i guess the weight at about 8 - 9 lbs, got me a fishin partner now! we caught 4 other eyes in the hour we were there.

lots of good fish still swim in her waters Best. guaranteed. a lot less pressure than that other river that runs through E town too.

i haven't come across any. the stretches i fish a hard enough to navigate walking never mind pitching a tent. PP campground right on the river just north of Entwistle on hwy 16 though.

walk the river and find and fish deep slow moving water. look at a map and find some nice stretches with lots of big bends and corners. spend some time and explore. you'll be rewarded.
