Hi All,

I have a buddy coming up for a visit and want to get him into some good pike and walleye action, any suggestions around Calgary? I have a 12ft boat with 9.9. I was thinking Newell jigging minnows or trolling spoons ect? What presentations are good this time of year?

PCR for Walleye. But there are better lakes with bigger fish for sure.

Yesterday we saw a pike eat a fullsize walleye. It was retarded.. Well we saw the splash not the actual take...

I'd go to crawling valley near bassano,just watch out for some of the shallow spots on that lake.PCR is a nice lake aswell,but the Walleye in there are stunted for the most part.

I don't recommend Newell in a 12ft boat, it would be a waste of a drive if even the slightest wind comes up. Try Travers.

I forgot about Traver's,thats where i'd go,plus you can even keep the walleye in there if you want to eat some fish.

There's also nice pike in there.i pulled out a 48" Jack in wolf bay back in 2005,with my cousin during a walleye fishing tournament.

No,We didnt have a scale in the boat,and I was'nt going to keep the thing,it was'nt a skinny fish,we figured that it went between 28-30lbs...but I just say 30 because that sounds better:D
