I'm not even sure they'll ship them actually. I know Cabela's won't.
I looked into this in detail about 2 months ago. IF you can find a place willing to ship them, you'll end up paying more in shipping costs than the rods are worth, let alone the difference in price of just buying them here.
Shipping for a 7' one piece rod was over $100, and that doesn't include "brokerage fees".

Hey waxy we just got a Downrigger and rod from Cabelas and they shipped the rod. They didnt want to ship my fly rod though I think they are afraid they will break.
OK, here's my details.
I recently (early December) tried to buy two Shimano Crucial rods (6'3" and 7') from Cabelas, Bass Pro, a few EBay stores and Gander Mountain. Only GM would ship them to me. The others simply said they would not ship them, especially outside the USA, because they were too cumbersome and likely to get damaged.
GM wanted to ship the rods to me via UPS, the only company that would do it. UPS wanted $120+ to ship them, and I would have been on the hook for $70-80 in brokerage fees.
$200+ for shipping was a definite deal breaker. Even with the loonie at $1.10 and saving $60 a rod, it was cheaper just to go pay full retail at the Fishin' Hole.
I got lucky though, a family member went down to Kansas to buy a vehicle, so he brought them back for me from the Cabelas in Mitchell, SD. SWEET rods.

I'm Just looking at my paper work for the Berkley Lighting rod 7' one pcs that i bought in the spring and all i had to pay for shipping was $16.00 plus additional $6.00 for oversize. for a total of 61.99 for a 39.99 dollar rod. I did not think that was to bad.
I used Bass Pro Shop

That's a SWEET deal. You can barely send a letter for $20 these days.
What company shipped it for you?

When i order from Bass Pro Shop they usually send it "canadian carriers" DHL or Purolator are the one I see the most when I get the orders but did see a canada post van deliver one.
