After 3 years of fool around with these noslers in my .264 Win Mag, I finally got this group out at Homestead this morning.

That's great, what are you shooting them out off?

What did you do differently?

Will it shoot like that now every time you go out? Nice group by the way!

That bullet does great in a 6.5 x 55 too

The rifle is a 70 or 80 year old P17 Enfield with a new barrel and trigger. I've had her now for about 42 years. When I got her she had been opened up to 308 Norma Mag and wore a sporterized stock. She wears a fixed 6 power Leupold that is nearly as old as she is. I shot her like that for about 20 years but eventually got tired of the headache shooting her in shirtsleves on hot summer days. Had a gunsmith in Sask put a stainless barrel (don't remember either his name or the make of the barrel) on her in 264 Win Mag. I've been shooting 120 grain Sierra's and been pleased with the hunting grade accuracy but about 3 years ago I started toying with these Nosler 120 balistic tips and H870 powder. I finally found the "sweet spot" for her with powder charge and seating depth. My Lady is in no way a Target Rifle. Just an old friend that I care too much for. We have spent a lot of time together. I was out putting the final touches on her sights on Friday and was I ever surprised to see that 4 shot group at 100 yards when I walked up to take down my target. Yes, I have it stapled in my shooting log.
