muzzle loading question

just wondering what some people use for loads...how many grains of powder bullet weight etc..

i have the smokeless option, but i will assume you are looking for a bp or substitute load. 130 grains of loose pyrodex pushing a 250 grain sst seems to work good in mine.

100 grain 777 (bp eq) I used pyrodex in the past as well
250 44 cal partition

100 yards is a long way where I BP hunt.

I have also used
300 gr 45 cal speer
265 gr 44 hornady
300 gr 44 cal Hornady xtp

100 grains of 777 and a 350 gr hornady FPB. Not the fastest load but my gun shoots it real good.

Not all ML's can take the same loads. Check the Max load listed for your gun before you copy some one elses load.

X2 a 150gr BP EQ load would not be good in my gun.

If I'm using pyrodex pellets, I use 3 pellets for 150 grs of powder, but using the Blackhorn 209 loose powder, 100 grns shoots better.
