Thought I would share a little about our rescent hunt. Like everyone else down there we spent the first of the hunt suffering in the hot weather with no sucess, seen lots but either they were in the wrong place or the shots were not worth risking. Due to work we had to leave for a while hoping that later in the month the weather would be a little better. Went back down and with the help of a few locals and some excellent landowners we were able to fill both tags on some respectable bulls. was one of the best hunts we have ever had the fellow hunters we met were all great people and the landowners are more than welcoming. Sorry about the pics I haven't had a chance to get all of them uploaded.

Alright man! I was wondering how you guys made out, good for you and the old boy those are two great bull boys! Was a great hunt for our crew as well, we put the old boy neighbor "Cow Elk Tom" on a cow in a very remote area, dismantled it and got it loaded for him. A super guy, couldnt say thank you to us enough, but we were just glad to give the old coyote a hand. Everyone in that camp tagged thier elk, thats right on. Enjoyed b.s.ing you guys, a little hard on the whiskey there that one night LOL, ouch... Congrats again man sure glad you guys could get those tags cut, you guys were too stacked of a crew, and went far too hard for far too long for it not to have worked! Later

Great Job! Very Nice Bulls! Glad you guys were able to go back and make it happen. It is not a "drive down shoot a big bull/cow" kind of hunt. But if you are willing to work it pays off, as you guys definitely found out!
My hats off to the landowners as well!

a couple more good bulls. im amazed at the color of these things. all the bulls this year seem to have a good rich brown to them. thats odd as most bulls out there in the past have been very white.
hey perch....the color is rubbed on from vegetation. the white tips arent from polishing.....they are just not the part of the antler that touches the trees the bull is thrashing so they remain thier natural white. if you have ever washed blood off of antlers and werent careful im sure you noticed the brown washes off.
