Moved to Red Deer area.

Hey everyone, I just finished moving to an acrage between Blackfalds and Lacombe. I am looking forward to getting some hooks wet in this area.
Any tips would be great.

For open water you can head to where the Blindman River meets the Red Deer river.... awesome for goldeye and the odd brown. that should only be a few minutes away from you. there's also Buffalo Lake, Sylvan Lake and Gull Lake in the near vicinity.

head straight west from lacombe and you will get to gull lake. Decent icefishing if all the shacks out there mean anything.

i dont have a mobile home on the ice i was thinking it might be a good idea if nobody did it before me and my friend Waylon were looking at some old fifth wheel campers in the auto trader they might work better
