Does anybody know where I can get some 7.62x25 ammo? I would like the cheap milsurp stuff instead of the sellier and bellot. Everyplace I ask seems to give me this cockeyed look as though I am inventing a new calibre and that they have never heard of it. Pretty popular calibre I thought.

I would be open to buying a part case or whichever.

Thanks for your input in advance.

Isn't there something about coated steel bullets penetrating kevlar vests, so the American's won't allow it into the country?

Ask Cat or Elk. They'll know.

I get mine from:

http://shop.moregunssupply.com/Czech-Surplus-762x25mm-85gn-FMJ-Ball--1000-Rounds_p_660.html

A note:

This guy is fine for shipping ammo, but I wouldn't buy guns from him. I've heard some funny stories about him shipping guns in plastic bags... my friend's SVT-40 got to High-Level in a thin cardboard box with the bolt handle sticking out of a hole in the side with it CLEARLY a firearm in it. I was there when it was opened.

Anyway, be that as it may...

I've never had any problems with getting ammo from him, that has always been above board and it's pretty cheap.

I recall seeing lots of this ammo in Cabelas in Idaho and Montana. So i wouldn't exactly say the US Authorities don't allow it..Densa44...

I think he means they dont allow it to be shipped out of the USA.

I'm told the stuff you get at Cabala's is lead core so it is O.K., out of country shipping is a whole other question. Some or all the mil surplus is copper coated steel core, I think. This makes it illegal in the U.S.

Check the Canadian Gun Nutz site. Lots of dealers there that carry the stuff.

My Tokerov was shipped by them in a regular bubble envelope. It was poking out the side when I picked it up from the post office. The envelope was badly damaged, and it was clear to all who saw the package that it contained a pistol. Not fun as the post office was inside a shopping mall, and I had to walk through the mall to get to my car. However it was cheap, and he does have cheap ammo.

If you live in Edmonton, MilArm has 7.62X25 in stock.

The last bunch I purchased are not steel cored. They also had some Fiochi which are FMJ but brass cased, and are re-loadable. However finding bullets is a bit difficult, as they are only about 85 grains.

I get mine from milarm in Edmonton. Just bought 400 rounds for $100 in a Nato metal army case. Very cool and shoots fine. Don't know if they have anymore, its been a few weeks. Good Luck.
