JR and I got out for a couple of hours this afternoon to try out some new fall patterns he tied up this week. we landed a couple of decent fish. as always, catching on his creations adds so much to the adventure. i told him again today how cool it is to catch on his flys, he answered it's cool to see you catching on them. good stuff.

Nice chunky fish. The lake fish have been pigging out for quite a while on the long-legged bugs.
Which lake were you guys at?

Sorry Bob, I guess I should have had you out in a tube. I've exercised a few hundred over last month and half. Nothing like fall fishing. The water temperature has finally dropped and the bug activity is slowing down. I was lucky enough fool a thick 24"er yesterday and a bunch of her smaller cousins. Next weekend it's time to start collecting feathers off the long-tailed birds for making nymphs.

I'll consider letting you make it up to me with some icefishing and/or a morning on the Bow during stonefly season next spring...:)

they were classy fish, i just didn't ask which class. sorry and cheers.

bob and scud i'm happy to have played a part in your reunion. scud if you end up with an extra tail feather or two, i know of a young man that would make good use of them.
