I have been looking for some 2 - 3 inch steel leaders and can't find them anymore. Can tire used to have them, but not on the shelf anymore.

Has anybody seen them around calgary?

Kokanee,
Rio produces a knotable wire leader on a 25 Yard spool for $12.00 then you can build your own, that may be an option for you

X2 on building your own...that way you can keep track of quality control.

Consider fluoro leader material as well.

Thanks for the replies.

I never really considered making them. I like them for some of the "toothier" fish. How does the flouro hold up and what strength have you guys been using?

I had another look around in there when I changed the net 2 weeks ago. I think those ones were 9 inches on the short ones.

I used 60 pound flouro last winter for leaders, went through maybe 2 of them, besides the ones I lost, and they were both in good shape at the end of the season. Some good sized pike on it no problem. I switched to 50 pound this winter. Thought that was what I had before, just didnt read the label I guess. :bad_boys_20: No problem with them kinking or getting bitten through.
