You could check out AHEIA (Alberta Hunter Education Instructors Association) they have RPAL Courses but you need to have taken the PAL course first.

Try the website mentioned. Also, google search if there are private ranges in your city/town (or the nearest one to you) and see if they offer the course. Thirdly, try the search feature on this forum as this topic has come up many times. If you state where you are located, I'm sure you'll get more specific help.

I have a neighbour who runs both courses at cost ($20 each) But depending on where you live it might be a bit of a drive to Pincher Creek.

How can he do each course or test for only $20 each. That seems way to cheap, thought there was a certain price they have to charge.

It costs more than that to buy the tests......

Maybe his price has gone up then? I took both in June this year and it only cost me $40

Lacombe is where I'm at. So anywhere in a 60 km radius would be helpful.

P&D and Phoenix range offer them on a regular basis. I took mine from Dean Fraser (pistolsmith.ca). There is no classroom instruction, it's a straight challenge but you can do it on your schedule.

Dean is great. Used him for my PAL.

I'm doing my RPAL shortly and signed up for the P&D course. I think they are actually cheaper than Dean and provide you with one day of classroom training. I'm fairly new to handguns so I figure the hands-on training in the classroom would be a good use of my time.
