Good Day,

I have been given by my girlfriend a collection of seriously old flies. There are 4 wallets of flies and one is very old. The gentlman who owned them was from Scottland and immigrated to BC. The flies where bought from his widow. She has limited knowledge of them and their origin.

I think the oldest wallet was from this mans father and I am guessing all the flies in it where from Scotland. I do not know enough about flies to evaluate them and wonder if anyone on here could or point me in the direction of an expert.

Last name Waychuck, lives in lakeview in Calgary,, I'll try to find his number,, he should still be alive but he would be the one.

I just wrote to two old friends and they're going to find the go to guy about your flies. Quick note, don't use them as they might be brittle.

If you can, I would love to see some good photos of them....I really love antique fishing items, and you do not get to see vintage, quality European flies that often.

The flies A, B, C are about 25 % of what I have and the newest of the collection. The old leather wallet is by far the oldest and it will take some time to go through it and post the photos. There are 53 flies in the photos.

In the old leather wallet there is some documentation of where some of the flies are from and I will include these in upcoming photos.
