Don't know if this was discussed before? If you were to hit an aninmal being sure you got it but ended up not finding it do you rip up your tag?
Just curious...

The first time that I ever heard about doing something like that was on here this week. I never thought about it and I just figured that while hunting sometimes things don't work out like you'd like them to and that it was just a part of hunting. I only take what I need so if I only have one tag and I gut shoot a deer and can't find it I highly doubt that I'd rip up that tag and go without. I don't see it as being unethical though.

It has happened to me, once, I didn' rip up my tag but I did end my season that day.
