Fishing in Maui

My wife and I will be spending 3 weeks on Maui this January. Has anyone chartered a boat out of Lahaina or Kaanapali?

The charter was about $175 per person and that was the cheapest we found. After i caught that fish the captain wanted a $1000 tip.
