Ice Braid vs. Regular Braid

Is there a difference between the two or is it all marketing and packaging?

I think the ice lines shed water better then most normal braids.

But I have heard that the new suffix open water braid is very good for ice fishing so I think I might just load a few reels with some of it and see how it does.

Last year I tried 3-4 different lines on some of my combos and the best one overall for ice line was the stren ice braid. It didn't collect water like the others did.
