I had the opportunity to take my 10 year old niece out ice fishing today and after waking her at 5:30am and getting her dressed and into the truck we arrive at out destination and were in our hut out on the ice by 8am.
We had lines in the water tipped with minnows and had our first fish on the ice within minutes.
The first one was a tiny perch and after putting it back Virginia caught the next two as well and they were keepers and on the ice.
It got quiet for the next few hours and we had lunch out on the ice and got into a couple more perch around 1:30 and nothing more afterwards.
Tiny toes started to get cold so it was time to pack up and head home while she was still having fun. We left with 4 keepers, enough for a taste and with Virginia wanting to come back out again,

Nice Mav. Now you just gotta get her into bird hunting and you will have a buddy no matter what your doing.

From the looks of that smile it looks like you got her hooked.
