Bull or Cow? Saw 3 nice bulls in 2XX today.....just before first light but all on private property. They are there just have to start scouting for many years to know where they go this time of year....I should be drawn next year (fingers crossed).

Where I saw them today the land owner doesn't allow a soul on there to hunt....unfortunately. They did cross from another area though.....it was a bit before legal. They are pretty smart and know where to be when the sun hits the horizon.

Never seen them on land that was crown, but the area I hunt is all permission only and I have been there for over 10 years. Most of the landowners do not grant permission now to people they don't know just because of too many issues. I think there is some crown in the Eastern most zone.....grab a map and do some door knocking....those herds will wreck some fences and some land owners will want some cleaned out.

Keep looking! There is still lots of time left in the season.

There Are tons of elk In 202 and 200 however its all private property ,, So do some ground work,, knock on some doors ask a few farmers some will gladly point you in the right directions, others will tell you to pound sand,, the neatral hills are a very tough hunt,,, but once you get one it very rewarding,, i know of 4 huge bulls taken out of there this season,, the smallest being a 6x6 over 340,, good luck
