:sHa_shakeshout: thats how you call them here:)... cool, will know next time. It is awesome natural bait for many fish back in Europe, not sure if it is legal to collect and use it here though?

Caddis Larve, Judging by the weeds and junk its probably the from the "cased" Caddis family, they make a home out of debris from bottom.. Caddis are one of the main food sources for trout.

Caddisflies are extemely diverse and represent a many millions of years old paraphyletic lineage of insects classified as the order, Trichoptera. At least 23 seperate families of caddis have been identified globally.

The majority of these families are case-making, and there are also groups which spin webs and net food in the current, and others which are unencapsulated and highly mobile predators.

Caddis are awesome. I can't tell whats in that picture though.
