14 (maybe 15) point buck

Grey Cup Sunday Buck!

I've never seen this guy on camera or in the flesh for the past 3 years hunting this location. Sometimes a guy just gets lucky and bags a good one by being in the right place at the right time.

He came waltzing up into range 20 minutes after legal light. After a few failed attempts of trying to stop him in several shooting lanes, he walked right underneath my stand and vanished into the thick conifer trees. That stupid useless "estrus bleat" of the Primo's can call didn't do a damn thing to bring him back into range and I figured he was gone forever. However, a little tickling of the ivories (rattling) and he came busting back to check things out ... I was caught with antlers in the my and not my bow. I managed to slowly swap the antlers for my bow and waited until he came into a 15 meter shooting lane and I let him have it ... shot through the heart! 40 meter blood trail a monkey could follow even though it wasn't needed because I watched him drop.

I was pretty excited to spend my last morning hunting with this fella.
