Is it true that Dahlberg has better fishing for BIG rainbows than either Millers or Carson. Is this true?

Dolberg produces some large rainbows. Try punching in Dolberg into the AO search engine and see for yourself. There is lots of people fishing it but a lot of them do not know how to catch bigger ones.
The fall fishin this year was a lot of fun. :sHa_shakeshout:Here is one of those football size rainbows.

Wow wow wow That is a beauty. For a first trip, my SIL and I are headed for Carson. We'll field test all my new equipment and hopefully catch some fish. Millers is also on out list of lakes and eventually we'll try Dolberg. We want to catch a few before we try for trophies.

Dolberg produces more bigger fish then either millers or carson

Lets see carson they stock 500,000 fish every year you have to go threw 1000 fish to catch one half decent one but does not have any fish over the 8 pound range.......on averages lets say a 5 pound fish in carson would be 1 in 100,000 pretty slim chances catching a big fish.

Millers lake is stocked with 13000 fish And has lots of food base so catching a big fish is alot harder.

Dolberg lake is stocked with 18000 fish and the total body of water is a little less then millers making it easier to catch bigger fish....dolberg has a good food base but not as good as millers.

So in conclusion dolberg has more bigger fish being caught hands down now which lake has bigger fish though that would be Millers but catching them is another story........millers and dolberg have times of the year that they produce better for bigger fish, but dolberg is a easier lake to figure out but on the other hand for a knowledgeable fisherman miller does give you a challenge

Welcome to the Forum

I kept it:) It was a great tasting fish. My wife and I finally agree on a fish receipe, which is a oven baked stuffed trout,
just like a turkey :)
Thanks for the Welcome!

Thanks! I had a co-worker 2 years ago that landed a 'bow out of Millers that was approx. 8lbs. It was released:sHa_shakeshout: Caught in the summer casting a spoon from a little john boat. I wish I could find the picture :( Pretty funny photo too, 2 pretty big guys, gear, and a 8lbs. Rainbow in a 10ft. boat makes for pretty tight quarters!
