Has anybody been on Sturgeon or Snipe yet just wondering on ice conditions

I was out today on the south shore. Ice was 8-10 inches. Caught a bunch of whitefish and had one pike get away.

Sorry, should have been more precise.
I was at Snipe lake on the south shore just west of the new resort.
About 50m straight out from the boat launch near some weed beds.
Ice is 2-3 inches right at the launch, but thickens out to 8-10 inches once you're out a few meters.

12-15" of ice at sturgeon lake.
Fished today and yesterday.

Last time at this year I was slaying them.
This year it was very slow.

Do you have any advise on how to catch Whitefish or Perch at Sturgeon at this time of year. I have never caught a whitefish before even though I have fished Sturgeon my entire life. Its really killing me now to catch one of these. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
