It is that time of year again, im back from a great season of guiding on the West Coast and cant wait to hit some Cold Lake lakers! An ice report would be just fantastic. All a guy needs is enough to walk out. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Cold Lake is still open. A couple of people were kayaking today.

Is there any lakes in the area that are safe to fish on?
I'll be visiting some family over the new year and would like to get out somewhere

Thanks for the info.
Any lake suggestions? Never fished around there, other than Pierce Lake in Sask. Would rather fish in alberta!

No ice at Disneyland either , just shoulder to shoulder people. Didn't see the magic. They did have a snow exhibit at Seaworld in San Diego though. They had more snow there than we have in LLoyd !!:thinking-006:

Just got back from there on wednesday. No ice yet. It's getting close though by the looks of it. Either a very thin layer or a bunch of slush in the AM but once the wind picks up and the afternoon sun its all water again.

Someone should go earn a gold star on their man card, and down rig them off the boat.

LOL!

Seriously though, this post reminds me why deeper lakes deserve extreme caution. Can't believe no ice yet. Does anyone remember the last time on Cold that there was no ice by 2nd week of Jan?
