Went to a small pond out that way, lets say lake X The ice was over 12" about 1/2 the auger leg, on the small lake that I was on yesterday. The fishing was slow but still managed 5 bows about 18" or bigger, about 4 lbs. Very nice little lake with big rainbows. I guess that there are some in there that are six lbs as I lost some that were bigger than the ones I keeped. Lost probly 5 at the hole and put back over ten that did not measure up to size. We were putting back the ones that we were keeping at Carson lake. If I was to take a guess, I would bet that you can drive on some lakes out that way. I would still becarefull and drill test holes. Sorry no pics this time. Next trip for me will be for perch. Maybe whites at Pigeon.
