Island Lake

Was just wondering if anyone has been out to island lake near Athabasca within the last year or so? I'm thinkin about giving it a try for some perch and I'm just wondering what size/ numbers should I expect, and if there are any specific spots that I should try. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you dont wish to broadcast your info. Thanks in advance for the help, it is greatly appreciated!

Tough lake to fish but big perch when you find them. Trouble is they could be anywhere day to day. If you go, try a Wetaskiwin Wizard in deeper water for whitefish. This is a Jumbo white lake, and some real Jumbos at that, but again tough to catch so far.

You might want to call the local realtor / farmer up there, Dwight Chernish for some info. His family has lived on the lake for years.

Water level is way down as well. The old launch on the NW corner of the lake doesnt even exist anymore.
