Hi I'm fairly new to fishing just started this year. This will be my first time out on sylvan in the winter. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips? I'm trying to go for pike and burbot mostly. I'm going to be going down rr23 and was wondering where the best place out there to go is? What kind of hooks/lures should I use for pike? Any help would be great :). Does anyone know how thick the ice is as of today?

I found gull lake to be better for pike and burbot from wut I'm told. As for lures pike like smelts on a tip up or a jug head tipped with a minnow works and same with burbot jig head tipped with a minnow the burbot won't pick up till fed but they still can be found .

The only problem I have at marina is all I seem to get are walleye. I would prefer a spot out on the lake somewhere
