Was out at Long Lake last weekend and was wondering if anyone has been out to North Buck Lake. It has been many years since I have fished there and was wondering how the fishing is or should I just head to Long Lake and give it a go there.

There was around 10 or 11 inches of ice. Wasn't enough for me to drive on yet.

I was at N Buck on wednesday, about 12" of good ice and next to no snow. Fishing was very very slow only managed 4 perch. Some people have been driving on with their trucks, sticking within ~75 yards of the shore line.

Looks like I will just head to Long Lake. Seen some really nice perch in there last Sunday. First time I ever fished there. I used to fish North Buck alot about 20 years ago and it was always a good lake to me. Oh well :) Thanks for the info.

Was there again on Sunday. We saw a few nice perch and a few pike but nothing seemed to be interested in biting, and we tried everything we had in our tackle boxes. Not sure why. Going to give it another go on Saturday and see what happens. Going to bring the under water camera and sonar this time. Hopefully they are biting :)
