With al this warm weather I am thinking of heading out and trying it. Thoughts? tips for cathing them at this time of year? I am assuming it would still be flowing in places right?

use a double nymph set up first nymph should be an attractor and second should be one of your standard Alberta nymphs and go small and deep

Fishing further up stream is a better bet. Closer to the springs the better. With the colder weather fish should be stacked in winter holes. Not as easily spooked this time of year as they are in the summer.

For flies i'd recommend, blood worms, scuds, Pheasant tail nymphs, Midges, leeches. All drifted under an indicator in deeper water, pools, slots. Dont focus your time on the shallow under cut banks right now.

Bring some parachute midges. If they start to hatch, it can be a feeding frenzy.
