Shot some big fat Greenheads last weekend. We had an ugly snowstorm last weekend and decided to go out in it anyway. The ducks weren't flying very well so we only got 4. It was a very good day none the less.

First time for me out in a jetboat doing this type of thing so that was worth the time and effort in itself. Took some pretty decent pics. Hope you like them.

I was hoping to get down that way before the season packed up, but it isn't going to happen.
Too bad, actually, I miss the duck hunts already!

Probably hard to get nicer birds than those for taxidermy in Canada fully feathered and mature. Nice!:sHa_shakeshout:

Thanks folks. That was the first time for me on a hunt like that.

Makes you think about how tough the dogs actually are! He had a coating of ice on him from the spray while we were moving. Just hopped right out of the boat, shook it off and was ready to go. Ducks hit the water and he didn't even hesitate when I sent him after them. Maybe I'm just a wuss!

Any ice floating down? I always wondered how that drifting ice/slush would affect a jet drive.

:sHa_shakeshout: fantastic hunt and thanks for sharing. those dogs are wonderful. I had a brittany growing up that nearly drowned herself to get that last duck...nothing would convince her to not retrieve that duck in icy water. boy did she get a warm blanket, cuddle and treats. brings back memories.

amazing late season drakes and hunt story!!am envious.
