We were talking with friends about cougar hunting. When you kill the cougar,, what do you do with the meat? Can you eat it? Or do you just go after the cougar to mount it?

Cougar meat is excellent. It makes really really really good jerky as well. Cheers.

I used to go to the Cluny wild game supper every year. One year they served bear and cougar as well as all the usuals. IMO, that year the best meat there was the bear and cougar. It was very tender and tasted great.

Can't be any worse than eating the neighbors cat.....other than the steaks are bigger.

this years will go to the hounds, a bit of the hair of the cat so to speak. it may have consumed some hound in the past so we will not be eatin it. though, if it was taken from another area we perhaps would try it.
