Has anyone had any luck calling in wild hogs? I heard they'll eat just about anything. If anyone has had success, what are you using?

Ummmm...try this..."here piggy, piggy, piggy"
I think bait would work better. Corn, or oats.

talk to a pig farmer...I've had friends from Texas use kitchen scraps and that has worked out fine for them.

Pigs go nuts when they here a young one in distress. Might be worth a try.

What I do is replay speeches by Chretien, McLellan, and Rock.

Every Pig in the neighborhood, be it wild or tame, comes running like there is free slop for everyone.

A friend of mine who hunts pigs in texas said the same as grizzly... a young pig in distress will get them excited. I googled the sound, found a good one and recorded it to my phone. I didnt have any luck, but I have yet to find a for sure spot where some tasty pigs are running around.

Word of advice if you plan to call or bait them... best be off the ground in a truck or tree stand, with alot of ammo, or be prepared to spend the night. I have heard many accounts of ferrel pigs being meaner than my ex-wife.

Hahahaha!! I got one of those ex-wives too! She took my hunting dog.

On a lighter note. Tried baiting but must of been an older trail. Sucks with hardly any snow on the ground. :sign0176:
