Lac St Anne

Heading to St Anne tomorrow to try and fill my walleye tags.
Figuring to walk on from the Gunn launch. Anybody been out lately?

Fished the area this summer with pretty good success. Wondering how
the bite has been as of late.

Spent two days fishing St Anne this past week.
Got skunked the first day, saw five whites on the camera. They unfortunately were not interested in what we were offering. Neat to see them come into camera view from the murky depths.

Better luck today. No sooner dropped my jig tipped minnow down the hole and had a walleye just short of 50 cm on. Promptly put my tag on him. Good thing he was the only one all day. Managed to catch a dozen or so pike for the remainder of the day.

Ice was a good 16-18 inches thick and noisy. A few quads and skidoos out and about. Did not see evidence of anyone driving on.

I too was at lac. St. Anne today. I was out by Yellowstone. Didn't catch anything. Saw a few big jacks, but they weren't interested in what I was offering. Also saw one whitefish. I was in 4-8 feet of water(I kept moving). Still a great day to be out there. Sure beat cleaning the house!
