So much for the idea that a bolt action is too slow for shooting multiple targets.

Fitting a rifle to a shooter. Only a few on this forum have brought up this issue.

Gunfitting by Michael Yardley has a good portion covering rifle fit.

I find it interesting that not too long ago people were being trashed here because they take running shots on deer, yet on boar it is alright.
that fact of that matter is the shooter DID NOT kill all his boars cleanly., I saw at least two run off into the bush.
He was also shooting from a box stand , which is often done in Europe.
It was a good example of shots on running game .

Very true.Had the guy missed most of his shots, many people would likely have condemned him for taking running shots. It's one of those hero or zero situations.

That's because he has his scope mounted backwards, just think how good he could do with it turned around :sHa_sarcasticlol:

Just kidding, definately a different looking style of scope then what I'm used to, and I doubt I'd have hit one at those speeds. I guess if a guy practiced shooting enough like that he'd get better. Luckily I find enough stuff standing still.

Notice how his scope is not mounted as low as possible, about 1/2" above the barrel at the objective end.

What was the caliber? Did he have to swing the rifle or just point and shoot.

If he was closer than 100M and I think he was, and the running game was all going to come down that trail, couldn't you just shoot just at the nose and get a hit?

As far as the rapid reload and picking up the next target that was impressive.

I think he was inside 75 meters, possibly 50, the rifle is a 7mmMagnum.
